印尼外交部晚間發布聲明表示，呼籲各方自制，不要採取會升高區域緊張情勢的行動，各方應共同維護南海區域穩定。
印尼外交部指出，希望相關各方不要採取任何可能會威脅區域和平、穩定的軍事行動，尊重1982年聯合國海洋法公約（UNCLOS）的規定。
此外，印尼表示，南海相關各方應繼續堅持致力維護南海和平的承諾，根據共同承諾的原則行動，展現合作及友誼。
